Description

A charming antique Edwardian era hat. A deep cloche crown and medium wide brim with an oval shape, the hat is made of lovely French black silk brocade fabric in a beautiful pattern all over the hat, with gently pleated and ruched sides. Wire frame and straw along the outer brim edge so it keeps its shape. Around the crown is a gorgeous French silk ruffled looped ribbon band, really nice. On the front/side is a wonderful bouquet of purple violets with stems, for a feminine touch. Underside of brim is the same lovely brocade. Large head size. Lined in black silk, maker is STYLE SQUARE HATS, New York, Paris, Chicago. Very good, clean condition. I show the hat on a full sized millinery head, the head is not included.
